Yes, you heard that right, the left loves free speech, except:

Well, Sadiq Khan wasn’t fond of people speaking out about his expanding the ULEZ Zone in London. It remains to be seen if this is part of the 15 Minute City scheme dreamed up by the World Economic Forum or simply a cash grab at the expense of London’s car owners, but when the Mayor spoke at a meeting in Ealing he tried to silence opposition to the scheme by claiming most of its opponents were “far right” including “covid deniers” and “vaccine deniers”. 

These are of course vacuous epithets, only a tiny handful of people deny the existence of covid-19, and nobody in his right mind denies the existence of vaccines. There are however many people who question the claims about covid and the efficacy of the vaccines, including what appear to be serious side-effects in a small number of cases. These beliefs are far from unreasonable and certainly do not warrant social ostracism.

Justin Trudeau is a much bigger fish than a mere mayor, being effectively the dictator of Canada. During the trucker protest he accused its supporters of being Nazis, whatever that word means. Then, to demonstrate his opposition to authoritarians he froze their bank accounts. Trudeau has also done his best to stifle independent media in Canada and is still doing so.

In Britain, the grooming gang scandal has been thoroughly documented with perhaps fourteen hundred underage girls being sexually abused. There have been many convictions of gang members and on one occasion a house was firebombed resulting in three deaths. The gang members were overwhelmingly – in the words of Jack Straw – men of Pakistani heritage who regarded young white girls as “easy meat”. Easy because for years the supposedly so racist police did absolutely nothing about this scandal. One person who did was Tommy Robinson, and when he organised a screening of his documentary on the subject in Telford, the usual suspects were out in force to stop him. They didn’t succeed on this occasion but other times they have.

Currently, ordinary people in working class areas of Britain and the Irish Republic are up in arms over the dumping of countless numbers of bogus asylum seekers in local hotels. The overwhelming majority are young men of military age who have entered the country illegally in small boats from France taking care to dispose of their papers on the way. No one from anywhere who has made it to France has the right to claim asylum in Britain, but leaving that aside and the favourable treatment these men have been shown at the expense of the locals, this has led to resentment and public protests. These protests have naturally been branded far right, again by the usual suspects, and attempts made to suppress them.

These “anti-racist” protests in Ireland are particularly ironic in view of the British soldiers and at times civilians murdered by the IRA and similar gangs ostensibly to keep these “invaders” out.

Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull has recently arrived in Australia on a speaking tour. The local trans mafia are not happy about it and intend to disrupt her meetings. This image was posted to his Twitter stream by singer-songwriter Billy Bragg who is also in Australia playing a few selected concerts. 

His message to Britain’s favourite peroxide blonde mother of four is:

“Just blown into Adelaide for 3 shows at the Gov.  Appalled to find UK anti-trans activist Kellie-Jay Keen is coming to SA to stir up division. Not only anti-trans, she also accepts support from US anti-abortionists. Be a trans ally – protest her presence!”

Kellie is anything but far right, indeed she will discuss her views with anyone anywhere at any time, but note the lie that she calls for the sterilisation of trans people. This isn’t simply a lie, it’s ridiculous because someone who “transitions” becomes sterile by definition. For males it involves castration and the amputation of the penis. For females it involves a double mastectomy and the removal of the ovaries. This sounds like a Hollywood version of a Nazi medical experiment, but it is these horrors Kellie is trying to stop, especially when inflicted on the young.

So if the left is against her too, what free speech are they supporting?

The free speech of teachers of both sexes – especially in the United States – to teach them how to have sex, including to question their gender identity.

The freedom to perform “drag queen story hours” for the young. Here is a report from last August by the Socialist Workers Party on how Stand Up To Racism is mobilising in support of these activities. This development has actually been going on for several years but has now intensified. GBNews has been reporting on its latest incarnation – drag shows for babies. Again, the extreme left has no qualms with defending this sort of thing as free speech. Champions of  liberty or what?

What though of matters of national security? For the past two years and more, the Democratic Party and its media lapdogs have portrayed the admittedly disgraceful events of January 6, 2021 as an attempt to overthrow the US Government after the election was stolen from Donald Trump. Some of the rhetoric spouted by these people is absurd – worse than Pearl Harbor?? 

Now that the Republicans have taken back the House, all the CCTV footage from that day has been released, and, surprise, surprise, the Biden Administration isn’t happy about it, none more so than Chuck Schumer who railed at Tucker Carlson for showing some of this footage that destroys the narrative. The man known as the QAnon Shaman was shown walking around the Capitol building apparently escorted by police officers who made no attempt to arrest him. Then he says a prayer for them. Schumer called for outright censorship while the bogus fact checker Politifact claimed the documentation refutes Carlson’s claims.

While it is true that Jacob Chansley did indeed sign a plea agreement which led to his 41 month sentence, this portrays a willful ignorance of the way the American criminal justice system actually works. District Attorneys have the power to threaten both guilty and innocent defendants with Draconian sentences if they do not comply. As Alan Dershowitz has pointed out many times, a defendant who pleads not guilty but is found guilty may end up with a sentence ten times as long. What would you have done in Chansley’s position?
