Gentlemen, The definitive information available on the issue of the plots against the Tsar is written up in the book, The Struggle for World Power by George Knupffer. Knupffer grew up in the Royal Palace as his father was the Naval Captain in charge of palace security. Knupffer was himself was capture by the Germans as a young (teenager) officer in the signals corps during WW1. Thank you for this very valuable information. There is just one copy of this book left on Amazon and I just ordered it. I’m really looking forward to the tour de force! I’ve always turned a jaundiced eye towards what I have been taught about the Russian Revolution here in the US. It is going to be such a pleasure to find out more of what truly transpired.

Well, Cartol, I am delighted to have been of service. In 1965 when I first went to England, I sat at the knee of Knupffer, so to speak. The man had an encyclopedia of a mind, He spoke 6 languages . . . and English like an Oxford don. There are copies of the book, both hard copy and digital in the New York Pub Library system, and I know from Knupffer he put copies in London Brit Museum Library, and Paris The version of the book you got from Amazon is the second edition written to include notes on… Read more »
