Germany has, in recent history, fallen into the Psyop traps laid for it & the postwar EU nation/states by the UK, EU, US, NATO alliances.
Suspicion: It is mainly that Germans, to a large extent, who tend to deny this recent history, would like to erase it, and would rather obediently follow the current establishment narrative. Why? because their history prior to, during, & after WWII is so awful they would rather excoriate it as something so abhorrent that they would never want to acknowledge & throw it down into the memory hole.
