Truth. In war all governments are and have to be “economical with the truth”. The lives of their soldiers may depend on it. Generally the Russians are copying the very effective British methods of WW2 of always being up front with the truth where possible, not through virtue but because in the end it makes propaganda more effective. But Zelensky is way beyond this and operating under contemporary Western communications methods and truth is totally unrelated to anything that he utters. The hardest part of the US – Russo Proxy War for me is the realization of how immoral and treacherous my country’s foreign policy is that it makes a country that has always been an autocracy worthy of my sympathy and intellectual support.
