Ukraine has no business fighting a war when it doesn’t have a pot to pee in. Any rational leader would seek a peace negotiation, but clearly Zelensky is far from rational. He will squeeze every drop of machinery and money from the West, and every drop of blood from his people. Then, when there’s no more left to squeeze, Russia will take over as much of Ukraine as it wants, and Zelensky will be running from his Nazi troops for the rest of his life.
Little zelensky is not in charge at a level your post depicts. boris johnson told zelensky not too negotiate. Much of the machinery and money from the West is for the Ukraine Government and military. Most of the black market operations are conducted on behalf of military potentates. He is a pawn of the “nazi troops” you mention. important points you’ve made; must not lose sight pf whom are puppets in reality, in order to comment and deal with this terrible and dangerous corruption.
The Wagner Group has done an excellent job and they are an elite force. It is common for elite military forces to pump themselves up as superior to ordinary troops. Competition between Generals can be a useful feature toward winning a war. Recall Monty and Patton. Prigozhin takes it a bit too far. The idea that he will be Putin’s next in line is a somewhat of a joke. He is similar to Trump but that is not enough to lead Russia. That job has always been one of the world’s toughest. It takes somewhat of a tyrant to survive… Read more »
Bravo, Alexander! Thank you for your comprehensive coverage, analysis, and thoughtful distillation from news and war dispatches as well as summits, conferences, meetings, articles, etc. Great work.
Ref: the article from War on the Rocks. Ukrainian military is not synchronised between local and central command for the reason of a proxy war, not revealed. I would reply to the writers of the article that it is perhaps wholly the responsibility of the military guidance of Western movers and shakers of this war and the Ukrainian regime in this proxy war against Russia. Lack of initiave at local level is also their responsibility, because of a circuitous route taken in command shared with the Western military ‘advisers’ in Ukraine who stand as superiors; they are in fact largely… Read more »
A very sad picture indeed.
