Strictly speaking, Russian forces are presently occupying no Ukrainian territory – or very little if any. On the contrary, Ukrainian forces are occupying quite large areas of Donetsk, Kherson, and Zaporozhia oblasts, as well as a small part of Kursk oblast, and a tiny fraction of Lugansk oblast.
