Republican House Leader Tries to Stifle Epstein Investigation

The Republican U.S. Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, tried on Thursday July 24th to squelch a subpoena of the only person whose testimony under oath could reveal to investigators where to look and whom to interview in order to dig down to the truth about Jeffrey Epstein’s elite sex-with-children operation and its possible connection to Israel’s Mossad.

Johnson said “Can we trust what she’s going to say, even if she raises her hand and says that she’ll testify under oath? … Is that something that can be trusted? You know, that’s a reasonable question. Is that credible evidence?”

His objection — which he repeated in other ways, and emphasized in his comments — was actually irrelevant, because that witness, Ghislaine Maxwell, who was Epstein’s intimate and constant companion and partner, actively engaged in his sex-with-children operation, wouldn’t be valuable for testifying about herself and what she did or did not do, but ONLY in order to inform investigators and provide for the public record, whom the key persons were in Epstein’s operation — and, if Epstein’s operation was in service to some foreign entity or organization, then what that was. Any falsehood or evasiveness in her answers would be under the control of the persons who would be interrogating her, because if any of the persons to whom she referred them to subpoena and testify turned out subsequently NOT to have had access to useful new information regarding the Epstein case — information not previously made public — then Maxwell herself would be liable for that. Of course, she would be granted full immunity for anything she would say regarding her OWN case, but NOT for obstructing justice by failing to speak “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.” Her testimony would be sought SOLEY because she IS, in fact, the most “inside” individual regarding THE EPSTEIN CASE. Johnson is a lawyer; he knows that all of this is so. The only credible explanation for his issuing the objection he did would be to spread amongst the public, ahead of time — even IF Maxwell testifies — the FALSE idea that the public should distrust her testimony — distrust it on the basis of Johnson’s pro-Trump dodge, that the Republican U.S. President should be trusted, and that full public transparency regarding the Epstein matter is not NECESSARY. Johnson knows better. His aim here clearly isn’t truth, but to deceive the public by confusing them about what the actual issue is in this matter. It ISN’T about Maxwell. She is already in prison.
