The contrast between the reality of the situation and the clueless propaganda spewed by Trump is stark.

One thing I would like to clear up that was not addressed in this program. Marandi says Khamenei deliberately allowed himself (and several of his family members) to be martyred. He gives a eulogy of Khamenei’s life and selfless accomplishments for his people. I don’t doubt any of this. But I do still wonder about the other top Iranian officials reported to have been killed at the same time. I asked my AI about it and it responded as follows:

The New York Times and IDF confirmed that the timing of the attack was adjusted to exploit this rare convergence of Iran’s top leadership, making it a decisive decapitation strike.

If this is true, and the Iranian government has apparently confirmed that these officials were killed, I would still like to know why they were meeting above ground in the same compound where Khamenei’s residence was located. It just seems incredibly stupid after what happened last June. “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me”. Alexander Mercouris has been asking the same thing. I wish Nima had done so in this dialogue.
