Well, I think that Trump gave the ultimatum the “OK, if you stupid Europeans really must do this, I know it’s not going to work, but play your ace card so that you can very publicly be seen to fail, it’s your plan, you can’t play a stronger card so all of your BS is over, once and for all, and I don’t own it, and I/Witkoff will pick up with Putin where I left off.”
I think Putin himself WILL go to Turkey for Thursday 15th as he said he would to be able to sit there and make it abundantly clear that he follows through on his commitments and that it’s Ukraine who is the source of the problem. That way no one can ever say that Russia was not committed to peace. And that would be the way for Russia, once and for all, to show that Ukraine, the Europeans and Kellogg are not serious for peace and clear the way for Russia to continue the SMO.
