I agree completely with your assessment. The pngoing absence of frontline inquiries does not mean that the Nord Stream shock is not being investigated by someone. During this election year, any incriminating proof against Biden would almost certainly discredit him.
Maybe Seymour Hersh broadsided the Biden Administration with his initial expose of the attack on the Nord Stream pipeline and that led to Hersh having a talking to. All of his subsequent work may need to be regarded that way. Unlike previous gentler times in the U.S., Biden treats any threats very harshly.
