One key thing to keep in mind regarding the west is, just because NATO has all these negative characteristics (incompetence, corruption…) that were discussed, it doesn’t mean that everyone else does.
If you want to understand war, you must think like a banker, because all wars are bankers wars. The war is existential for Europe, because Europe is financially insolvent. They are deep in debt, and have no collateral for further loans. At this point they need to expand the war and draw the US in on it. This way, even if they lose, nearly all their debt will be wiped out, and stock and bond holders will be wiped out. I think that article was aimed at humiliating Ukr so they will back out of any mineral deal and to ensure US /Ukr part ways once and for all. My sense of the MAGA community here is disgust for everything Biden and deep sorrow and shame for what we did to both Russia and Ukr. Just despicable.
