Many people nowadays call Chomsky controlled opposition and shill. I do not agree, I also don’t agree with everything he says and thinks especially nowadays. His reaction to sickness was disgraceful, he got manipulated by narrative but we need to take in consideration he is very old nowadays. We need to also remember all his achievements, all those years and years of fighting for us for our freedom for humanity so for truth. His works like “Manufacturing Consent” and his old lectures opened the eyes to the truth and all the lies for so many people, so many important voices, so many real journalists and scientists.

We should not judge him for his weaknesses and for his mistakes, especially made while he was old. He proved his dedication. For example he opposed the Vietnam war during that time his wife had to start to study because they were afraid he would be fired from MIT so they were afraid of their well-being and well-being of their family. Still he risked everything to tell the truth, he risked his career, his well-being as well as well-being of his family, everything to tell us the truth to free us to try to fix this horrible world. We can not forget that!!! I can’t stand people insulting him and not understanding how much we owe to him, how much he risked, sacrificed and risked for us. He could have just spewed propaganda and pushed narrative like most intellectuals and he would be shown everyday in mainstream media, he could just not care and achieve fame and success and wealth but he didn’t. He had hope for us, for humanity and now how some people repay him for that, we should thank him for his sacrifice and the risks which he took for us, for humanity!!!

People like Chomsky, people like Assange, Snowden risked everything for us and now some people in the West called them bad guys, treaters and even people who they were fighting for are now calling them controlled opposition. None is perfect like Chomsky said:“We shouldn’t be looking for heroes, we should be looking for good ideas.”. Because we look for Heroes for someone perfect, people in control are able to use character assaination against people like Chomsky, Assange, Snowden. We should not care about their mistakes and their character flaws, they are just humans. We should look at their achievement, their ideas and how much they sacrificed and risked for us, for humanity, for our freedom.

“Take a look at Bush’s last speech about bringing democracy to the middle east. This is discussed in middle east journals. You take a look at the countries he praised and the countries for you know advancing towards democracy and the ones that he condemned, had nothing to do with their attitude toward democracy had to do with whether they were following U.S orders, no matter how brutal they were, how many people were being tortured in jail or anything else or which direction things were going if they were following U.S orders they were advancing toward democracy. You think people don’t notice that in the middle east or anywhere? Yeah they notice it. I mean it may not make the editorials and the commentaries and the journals and probably the classrooms here. But people who don’t have the luxury of ignoring the world, they notice it. Takes a little effort not to see it.” -Noam Chomsky

How much effort did it take for you not to see it?

He helped me see it and understand it. I will always be grateful to him for that!!!

We in the West live with the luxury of ignoring the world.

“Meanwhile there is still some freedom left in the world. Many young people, it is true, do not seem to value freedom. But some of us still believe that, without freedom, human beings cannot become fully human and that freedom is therefore supremely valuable. Perhaps the forces that now menace freedom are too strong to be resisted for very long. It is still our duty to do whatever we can to resist them.” ― Aldous Huxley, Brave New World Revisited

“It is the responsibility of intellectuals to speak the truth and expose lies.” ― Noam Chomsky

“One of the best ways to achieve justice is to expose injustice.” — Julian Assange

“If you assume that there is no hope, you guarantee that there will be no hope. If you assume that there is an instinct for freedom, that there are opportunities to change things, then there is a possibility that you can contribute to making a better world.” ― Noam Chomsky

“Try to understand everyone, scorn no one, don’t believe anything blindly.” ―Albert Einstein

“No one can build you the bridge on which you, and only you, must cross the river of life. There may be countless trails and bridges and demigods who would gladly carry you across; but only at the price of pawning and forgoing yourself. There is one path in the world that none can walk but you. Where does it lead? Don’t ask, walk!” ―Friedrich Nietzsche, Schopenhauer as Educator

Where does that path lead? to the truth. What is the truth? Don’t ask, figure it out for yourself!

“Now, there are also people who don’t go along-and they’re called “behavior problems,” or “unmotivated,” or things like that. Well, you don’t want to be too glib about it―there are children with behavior problems but a lot of them are just independent-minded, or don’t like to conform, or just want to go their own way. And they get into trouble right from the very beginning, and are typically weeded out. I mean, I’ve taught young kids too, and the fact is there are always some who just don’t take your word for it. And the very unfortunate tendency is to try to beat them down, because they’re a pain in the neck. But what they ought to be is encouraged. Yeah: why take my word for it? Who the heck am I? Figure it out for yourself. That’s what real education would be about, in fact.” ― Noam Chomsky, Understanding Power: The Indispensable Chomsky

“We should not judge him for his weaknesses and for his mistakes, especially made while he was old.” Do you believe Noam Chomsky was compos mentis around 2001?  Because I believe he still is, and it was only the mask that slipped, when he uttered his infamous ‘The unvaccinated should just remove themselves from society’. The reason why I ask about 2001, is because Chomsky and his Left Gatekeeper associates, reinforced and sometimes amplified the governmental narrative of the September 11 attacks.  You are obviously relatively young Pono, and you were probably bedazzled with Chomsky’s righteous indignation.  But as Oscar… Read more »

You are obviously not aware, but I read most of Noam Chomsky’s ideological books back in the 1990s in college, and it was a Marxist professor in the University that was responsible for fabricating the anarchist fad within the campus.  I had a large collection of Noam Chomsky’s ideological books in my bookcases in 2021, for personal research into the anarchist movement, and to refute Chomsky ideologues, where many of his zealots morphed into the American version of Antifa in 2020.  In 2021, after Chomsky’s infamous diatribe ‘The unvaccinated should just remove themselves from society’, I invited several friends over,… Read more »
