Mr Trump’s main problem is that he cannot let go of the belief that the USA is Top Nation – militarily, economically, financially, every way. It simply isn’t any more. Russia and China – and possibly Iran – could defeat the USA in the only kind of war that they would fight, a defensive one on their own ground. China has a bigger, more dynamic, and far faster growing economy. And the USA’s financial double-nelson on the world is slipping precisely because it has been abused so much and so often. It’s hard to imagine Russian leaders still haven’t ‘gotten Trump’s number’ and realized he’s nothing but a bamboozler and a puppet in the same way as all US presidents in recent memory. But what can they do? As Brian Berletic has emphasized, the incremental escalation policy of the US is inviolable, set in place for years by Empire’s deep state operatives in think tanks, and the orders are to be pursued regardless of who is president.
