Russia can occupy Ukraine in hours. Not because of war but “to keep the world order”.
If the US proxy Ukraine is militarily defeated by Russia and the European people experience a rapid decline in prosperity it will make no more difference to the American people than the ruin and misery of many other hapless victims of American exceptionalism.
I differ with Mervouris here. * The US is not in a (military) war in Ukraine. They have no significant forces there. * The Western political elites he talks about demurring are not the top of the food chain. * The drivers of this are the financial elites and the western financial system is, despute the illusion, on its knees; they are fighting for survival. * Those who control the banks will fight not just to the last Ukranian but to the last European and to the last American in order to not lose. It seems to me that if the Ukranians are suffering heavy troop losses every day, there will be nobody left to man the weapons the US wants to send, nor to benefit from any training.
