God I love that woman, Clare Daley. Also Christine Anderson and some others, such as Rob Roos, Christian Terhes, Mick Wallace, and any other MEPs who dare to criticise von der Leyen and the EU policies.
Elections should also be run on the basis that a party’s manifesto, upon which the public votes, should form a contract between the resulting government and the people. And if a government does not take action on the points of their manifesto and pursues their own interests, which were not laid out in the manifesto, then, after one year, that government should be guilty of breach of contract and booted out. This is the only way we will cure political parties from promising action in their manifestos that they have no intention of fulfilling.
