Lets be honest. Lithuania was forced by the US to buy equipment that is on the verge of being scrapped. The Lithuanians pay for the upgrades and when you do the maths it would have been cheaper to buy new. But the Lithuanian politicians reap the rewards with substantial kick backs and everyone is happy. Something similar occurred to Croatia about 5 or 6 years ago. The US “donated” 25 Humvees to the Croat army, and they only required a fresh coat of paint. What they needed was a complete upgrade of electronics and armaments but the Croats did not… Read more »
