I was at a union meeting in Paris in which Walenska was guest speaker, at that time the miners in the UK where on strike, and I heard Walenska say that Thatcher would sort the miners out. I was willing at that time to think it was a misinterpretation, but events around him since, make me believe that he was rooting for Thatcher.
