Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he will request talks with NATO to ensure that the US-led military bloc does not creep closer to his country’s borders, as Kiev moves to allow Western troops into Ukraine.

Option 4: NATO will disintegrate because some east european country – or turkey – will realize what the russians put on the table makes a lot of sense, NATO is finished anyway and so they will cut a deal with russia and show Mr. Stupidberg the middle finger. Interesting development in Norway where the new Foreign Secretary has asked NATO to keep its forces away from the northern
Russian frontier, saying that it would be better if Norwegian defence forces handle it. This is on the basis that the USof A may be strategic rivals of Russia but Norway isn’t.
Very sensible – no wonder Stoltenberg is having a fit.
Nato’s Stoltenberg intends to defend those nations that are not threatened by Russia against Russia. Meanwhile Nato’s members incite Ukraine to behaviour which might cause it to be threatened by Russia, but Stoltenberg does not intend to defend Ukraine. It’s a devious non-productive game. A sport maybe, or a hobby.
