Imperialism and Socialism

Both Iran and Russia see the conflict with the “collective West” from a long-term perspective. They see the West’s long-term strategy as a war of attrition that avoids nuclear confrontation and is aimed at the destruction of Iranian and Russian societies and civilization. This conflict is an economic one between two systems, which are imperialism and socialism. Imperialism is a system that has been inherited from Roman and later the British Empire. It is based on the exploitation of labor and the extraction of natural resources from its colonies. The other system is one that resists imperialism, resists the economic exploitation and expropriation of its natural resources and serves the interests of its people as a whole, not a small oligarchic ruling class. Imperialism is doomed because it cannot compete economically with socialism, which is the next evolutionary stage in human civilization. Imperialism cannot stop the progress of history.

It is clear that the only way from Trump to escape the political trap he is in is to withdraw US troops from West Asia and blame Israel for lying him into a losing war. Right now he is threatening Iran again, but these are just his words, which have lost all credibility. But as the November elections approach, and the economic consequences of the closing of the Strait of Hormuz (and now also Bab-el-Mandeb) hit the US and Europe in a few weeks, let’s see what Trump actually DOES, and not waste time on his words.
