They put American Citizens in prison for walking the halls of the Capitol, but they invite the worst terrorist dictator in the world to do it… But we are a free democracy.
Ukraine is sending 16 old boys, and women into battle by force, in defiance to UN regulations, but they are a moral and democratic society.
Seems that at some point the word “democracy” has been substituted for authoritarian, and totalitarian….

Thank you, sad about that fountain, if I was there with my wadding boots I would clean it up 🙂 I feel the same way about world governments.

So the USA is weaselling its way into the ‘Stans’, even sending a small detachment of US soldiers to Armenia to ‘train’ Armenian troops. OK. I can see that they have strongarmed the Armenian Prime Minister/ President to turn against Russia and , presumably, intend to persuade/coerce/bully/threaten the other ‘Stans similarly. Joe will make them an offer they can’t refuse. Maybe they will even persuade them to host US/NATO troops for training purposes. There is one flaw, however, in their plan…they would be completely surrounded by Russia, China and Iran. One heck of a cauldron, if the collective west decided… Read more »

Darn, Perhaps the USA should build a tunnel to the sea of Asov?
If the foilage aided those pesky Russians in the deterring the Ukrainians’ summer outing beyond the Grey Zone, then the lack of foilage come fall will expose the Ukrainian infantry day excursions into the Grey Zone and so aid the pesky Russians too.
It’s gotta be either that tunnel, or Ukrainian infantry will have to dress up as trees without leaves, and inch their way forward.
We could call it the ‘Grain Tunnel’ in order to keep it secret.

Oh, but not just a couple of guys in a pick up truck will be awaiting the heroes of ZelenskyLand behind the second line of defence, but all the downtrodden wives of the evil Russian solidiers will be waiting open-armed and with Poroshenko’s Ukraine factory-made Belgian CHocolates to hand out to the brave upright Ukrainian soldiers. Or are Poroshenko’s chocolates on the Russian sanctions list too? I suppose they should be. Well, the Russian people’s tolerance of the evil Putin will shortly collapse then anyway, if Putin doesn’t starve to death before that.

The Western countries are hilarious in their cowardice. Their leaders like to strut on the world’s stage but when it comes to getting their hands dirty and using their own troops in a conflict, they prefer to hide behind someone else (NATO, ECOWAS, etc.) and pretend they have nothing to do with it.

Lovely to see you out in nature, Alex and lovely to see that it still exists in Cyprus. The concrete jungle on the seafront is far less appealing.
