I am just about to go to bed and Kevin McCarthy has lost a 9th round of votes. It’s so embarassing. How does he not have enough of a sense of shame, that he throws in the towel? Is it more because he doesn’t want to be one of the WEF’s failures and have to be taken down off their website? Man up Kevin and concede defeat!
I believe there is more to it. He is following DNC orders to get into that position to assure that the House will continue to be under Dem control. He acts like a dog on a mission, not caring how often he will be rejected, not caring how embarrassing this is. That’s not normal behavior. I can see trying more than once, but after 9 rejections, no one without an agenda would continue to insist unless he has been ordered to do so. He is on his 12th failure now – despite some flips. I have personally lost interest. Wake me up when the system is functional again.
Trump has spent his entire life, trying to be liked and accepted by the Establishment. He still wants to be liked.
He should NEVER support ANY RINO. Trumps the reason we have McConnell.
You got that right! Are wealth and character mutually exclusive? Perhaps not, but very rare.
I don’t think for one minute that Trump has spent his life trying to be liked. He’s a businessman and the Art of the Deal spells out his position. He has a different agenda from what is generally thought and it results in uncovering some of the ghastly players who try to act in the shadows.
Failed to be elected 11 times now at the end of Friday. Yes, remember Trump supported McConnell. Looks to me like the 90% will not vote for any alternative unless McCarthy bows out. Both Trump and Jordan have been nominated and gathered 20 votes or less each time. I agree it is good for the House to have this standoff. At the least, we have a chance at the concessions being honored, but we need it in writing so that if McCarthy balks, the twenty can shove it in his face.
