“the most influential realist of his generation”, REALLY ? How about CLOWN ? Guys like Scott Ritter is several levels abobe this old guy, in every way. I do agree most of this guy said but there was just some crazy bullshit LOL “notest how poorly Russian army performs” – By saying that we can say this guy know NOTHING of how, what and why Russian army performing. Putin’s plan was never carb bombing Ukraine like U.S. did in Vietnam, but save Ukraine civilians and Russian soldiers, but KILL ALL Nazi-Jews. That’s exactly he’s doing. So this guy said “190,000… Read more »

Well, it is true that he may not be 100% correct on all issues, but perfection, as they say, belongs to the Gods, and they have not yet contacted me directly. However, I am willing to accept 80% help from someone who has placed himself in a very prominent position and forced even Academia to pay attention. He has written other interesting things. This, for example: “The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy,” by John J. Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago and Stephen M. Walt of Harvard’s John F. So some might think that the shock treatment is necessary to get decent people to pay attention and take action before it is to late. Remember, it only took a few people to bring a period of warfare like 1914 – 1945, and now the stakes are much… Read more »

Say again: Russia outgunning in conventional warfare in Ukraine is not anywhere near needing to escalate to nuclear weapons.

It took the deaths of 14,000 East Ukrainian, mainly Russians, and a Zelenski army of 60,000 starting to invade Donbas to get Putin to finally get the desired (by the West) effect to invade. Putin has not and does not want to take over independent states. What country would welcome a neighbour to enable a nuclear armed enemy to site their weapons a mere 10 minute flight time from their national capital? Mearsheimer is either lying to his audience or has been on the whacky bacci for too long.
