Israel should not attack Iran

In the past few days, rumors of an imminent Israeli attack on Iranian territory in response to the recent Iranian ballistic attack against Israel have been artificially intensified in the Western media. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan’s statements that the Middle East is close to an Iran-Israeli war and that Turkey should prepare for a regional war highlight the criticality of the circumstances.

But in reality, with the start of the Iran-Israeli war, the hardliner Netanyahu is trying to directly involve the USA and have them fight against Iran in order to end the deadlock and Israel’s strategic defeat in the Gaza Strip. Netanyahu and the deep Zionist movement believe that a war against Iran will spread regional conflict and create instability inside Iran with the goal of changing Iran’s political system. The designs of the American-Israelis are evident from the recent speeches to the Iranian people by Netanyahu and the Shah’s son, Reza Pahlavi. But is Netanyahu’s American-Israeli maximalism possible?

The last two-plus decades have proven that the American-Israelis have failed in everything they have attempted in the Islamic world. They invaded and occupied Afghanistan for two decades only to leave in panic. They overthrew Saddam in Iraq, Gaddafi in Libya, they tried to overthrow Assad in Syria and what was the result? Regional instability and the failure of US-Israeli plans.

While the above failed wars were fought in each country separately and not simultaneously against economically and militarily weakened countries, Iran is currently militarily powerful and has formed a strategic alliance with countries in Mesopotamia, the Levant and Yemen. The front is extremely large, as is the deterrent capability of Iran and the Palestinian Allies. Without significant US ground forces, the US air force is insufficient to affect ground operations and the ballistic missile system, areas in which Iran outperforms the Americans.

Without accurate information about the deterrent power of Iran and the Palestine Alliance, and ignoring the new global multipolar Sino-Russian balance, the Americans risk getting involved in yet another adventurous, this time incomparably more extensive and multi-fronted, war with ominous consequences for them and for the prospects in the Middle East with extensions reaching as far as Ukraine. Such a war might spell the end of postwar American hegemony in the region.
