The debate over the 60% enrichment is a red herring. Israel and the US are out for regime change, no matter what Iran’s enrichment level was. Remember, Saddam had no WMDs, but the US manufactured “evidence” they did and invaded anyway. If Iran didn’t have 60% enrichment, Israel would claim it did, or that that 3.6% was still too high. No amount of enrichment would be acceptable to the US or Israel because they want to destroy Iran’s civil society as well as its military strength. So stick to the issue of regime change and don’t get mired in the… Read more »

John Mearsheimer has been saying for a long time that Iran having a nuclear weapon would be a stabilizing force in the ME.

The leaked threats have been carried out. Iranian scientists and their entire families, and in some cases, all their neighbors, have been executed by the Israelis. Prof Marandi has made this clear. One should never be surprised at the levels of inhumanity and depravity the Israelis are capable of.

So what’s the alternative to Iran going nuclear? Since the US has no intention of reining in its attack dog, a non-nuclear Iran means that there is no country in the ME capable of restraining Israel, and it will continue to bomb, invade and annex at will. Iran needs to provide a nuclear umbrella for the entire ME.

Trump is so out of his depth in this game of great powers. He’s tone-deaf, but perhaps even he can see that his bully-boy tactics may intimidate the effete Europeans, but don’t stand a chance against Putin. Next to Putin, Trump seems like a bum in a subway.

The idea of more negotiations after Trump gloating about killing their negotiators is just insane. Trump did this to himself and to America, which is why he had permanently lost support of many. He’s unserious.

It would be more correct to say Russia and Iran are potentially more cyber hardened compared to the west, possibly bc networks are isolated from the internet. The claim they are “cyber proof” is “because they dont use western technology” is baloney. All tech is vulnerable.

If an organisation such as the IAEA is incapable of calling out Ukraine when it has more than cast-iron proof that it is the one that has been trying to blow up the ZPP and if it is incapable of calling out Israel whose facilities it isn’t even allowed to visit, then I can’t see why any country could take it seriously. Nor should they.

Now to add to its crimes, we find it has been informing the US and Israel of everything it has inspected in Iran in order for them to target its facilities more accurately.
