When did any country “collapse like a house of cards” when attacked? Syria, perhaps – but the war there went on for 14 years first, the country was an artificial one created by Western governments, and it was subjected to immense pressure by NATO, Israel and Turkey. Libya, granted; it was a hugely rich target for looting, and a lot of ground work went into preparing the collapse.
Iran has far more in common with Afghanistan, North Korea, Vietnam, and Venezuela. Such countries become more robust under foreign attack.
