Why does Putin waste his time and caviar entertaining Witkoff and Kushner? Larry says they can’t negotiate but they can still serve as a way of communicating with Trump because they have his ear. In this case, Putin took the time to lay out the real military situation for them in hopes that some of it would get through to Trump. The trouble is not only that this “dynamic duo” is incompetent, but that US simply does not have any real diplomats capable of doing real negotiations. Meanwhile, the Russian army continues to dismantle Ukraine.
