There is absolutely no stakes at all involved in US Selections, as both selected candidates are owned Lock, stock & barrel by their foreign masters and it does not matter in the slightest, if they choose to select their kosher tweedle dum or kosher tweedle dee.
People who take the US Presidential Elections seriously, are analogous to people who take soap operas seriously.
Are you suggesting we might as well turn the American Government directly over to AIPAC and dispense with the charade?
Are you suggesting AIPAC is not yet in control of the US government?
That goes for every election. It’s all for show.
Watched Trumps televised campaign stop last night. He was on stage wtih multiple yellow fringed flags behind him. That tells you all you need to know. Same as it ever was.
I think Barnes is over-optimistic though his points are good. My experience of the US cultural scene is that Trump makes people uncomfortable which is why the Harris campaign emphasizes comfort and normalcy. Harris is the worst possible candidate if you are sensible, but the vast majority of Americans are not sensible–everything is culture-wars. Democratic voters want to follow and be told what to think and what reality is.
Most Americans can only emote but never explain.
I see nothing resembling “comfort” nor “normalcy” about either Harris, nor her campaign.
