Maybe I’m just being hopelessly cynical, but has anyone else considered the possibility that perhaps Gonzalo Lira’s so-called disappearance was actually nothing other than a deliberate act of self-promotion? That was in fact my very first thought the moment I heard that he had ‘gone missing’, mainly because I know enough about the man to consider him capable of pulling-off such a stunt. Not cynical enough. The bit that really got to me was that as soon as he said that he was forbidden to comment on exactly WHY he was picked up he started making comments that you would think had gotten him detained in the first place. Totally bizarre. Wouldn’t you keep your trap shut? And does anyone really KNOW for a fact what happened except for his own testimony? No way to corroborate anything. No witnesses? As they say something smells fishy in Denmark.
Suspicious Facts: 1) In his other interview with Alex, Lira states that the worst part of his first day of detainment was not having access to the internet. Really? You’d think he’d have been much more worried about being ‘disappeared’ or summarily shot & dumped in some alleyway. Not a normal reaction. Unless of course you knew that you were detained for something illegal you did. 2) He states he’s been ordered to stay by “legal authorities.” Well my friend, legal authorities by definition usually openly state the legal reasons for detaining someone.
