Obeying Yankee mandates always comes with a very high price. But Germans or the rest of the EU-ropeans still haven’t understood this.
The reason we* even cover it is that any prospective alliance between Germany and Russia has long been deemed a threat to Anglo-American hegemony in the Eurasian landmass, and both world wars were started by England to prevent such an alliance, and it continues today with the conflict in Ukraine during which the Nord Stream pipelines were bombed by the US with support from the UK.
