There is the element of demonic pride in Germany, France, Us, UK, to deny Russia’s demands for payment in Rubles. Isn’t there, as well, a hidden intention to create a casus belli against Russia? If Russia follows through with its demands (hopefully it will not flinch) the criminal west may want to make the case for launching a military attack, either through Ukraine or directly through Poland?

I would not refer to it as “demonic pride” but rather trembling fear of the US regime, of what that regime might do to them, German, France, etc. what it is doing to Ukraine, should they refuse to obey.

This is true. I read in a French magazine that the French military is seriously worried because they have no more material to defend themselves in case of a war. Everything was sent to Ukraine.

That’s been tried and didn’t work. Remember Juan Guaido, declared by the US to be the president of Venezuela? It didn’t work. And since then almost all of South America has turned left, away from the US. [“left” in Latin America is the opposite of what is called “left” in the US]

Alex C pointed out that he would not be surprised if the Ruble eventually strengthened to 80 Rub/ USD.
I just went to look: 1 USD = 85.2701 RUB Mar 30, 2022, 22:02 UTC

His prediction looks almost certain, and even quite conservative.

Couple of days ago, the German Unions for construction and Industry actually went public and clarified what will happen to Germany, then the E.U. if they refused to pay for the gas in Roubles. All Industry in Germany would cease, period. That means the industries required to manufacture the products, needed to build the facilities required, to unload and distribute the U.S. CNG to where it was required was impossible. A side mention was also made regarding the ships transporting CNG, all of which have orders to fulfil and no spare shipping available. Clearly, the Germans WILL be paying for… Read more »

LES ECHOS/FRANCE: Rationing of Russian gas will threaten Germany with recession – Moscow’s ultimatum to no longer deliver gas except in exchange for payment in rubles convinced Berlin to activate its emergency plan to secure its supply. The risk of Germany tipping into a recession “is substantial”, according to the Council of Elders. On Wednesday, it revised its growth forecasts drastically downwards. “From now on, every gas consumer – from companies to private households – is obliged to reduce their consumption as much as possible. Every kilowatt-hour saved helps,” Economy Minister Robert Habeck said on Wednesday. Moscow’s ultimatum that all… Read more »
