If a country boards the vessel of another country on the high seas because the vessel is not insured under the monopoly firm of the aggressive country’s ally, isn’t this war…or a blockade at minimum?
Solution: Install Special Operations personnel on the ‘shadow ‘ tanker armed with anti-ship weaponry. Clearly announce to the Estonians and others that you are coming prepared and looking for a fight.
As a backup plan, shadow these tankers with powerful naval vessels.
This would be another avenue to de-militarize NATO…. and keeps the Baltic fleet gainfully employed.
