Did we used to have “Democracy”? Then “Democracy” brought us to this point. So why would we expect it to do better in the future?
Clearly the problem of choosing good leaders to support healthy societies has not yet been solved. It is more complex than just one man (one dollar) one vote.
The outliers (super do gooders and pschopaths) have to be shut out from the rest of society. They bring us mass immigration and war. We see the result around us.
I like Baudet’s observation that Putin cured COVID. Maybe it could be improved with a Forrest Gump accent: “In February, Putin invaded the Ukraine… And just like that, COVID was over!”

Dear Mr Mercouris, Listening to you and to what you said of your aunt reminded me of something I read long ago in Mikhaïl Bakhtine’s book on Rabelais, namely a passage, where he says that Rousseau harmed his time’s society (not just the French one) by persuading the higher classes’ women to feed their children themselves.
