President Allende in Chile was murdered by the CIA. Let’s hope this will not happen to President Boric! Congratulations for the election!

I congratulate the people of Chile on their excellent choice. I am afraid Boric’s life expectancy has just diminished, knowing how the CIA and the US government operate. We may know as soon as the US crowns the Chilean version of Venezuela’s Juan Guaido.

Yes, Helga, but they have not crowned Juan Guido yet. Venezuela’ s President Nicolas Maduro has endured miraculously long. He must have very good body guards and a good military.

The Venezuelan people and government have not, and never will, crown Guido. It’s the US Empire that did and waste taxpayer money. A few days after it happened, I looked up Venezuela on Wikipedia, and lo and behold, it listed, in the box summary on the top right, Juan Guaido as the President of Venezuela, without any more details. (About a week later I went back and they had corrected their error and at least added the controversy. But I’ll never trust Wiki again, ever.

Absolute disaster. However the draconian Warsaw Ghetto type brutal lockups also contributed to this.

What Alexander doesn’t seem to understand at all (and I am not sure about Alex) is that what’s called “left” in Latin America is what the “left” was a very long time ago in the US, when it fought against the brutal exploitation of the poor working class by the rich, fought for workers’ rights which are human rights, and by doing so created the middle class in the US which led to prosperity for everyone. Today, it’s the Latin Left which has more in common with the US Right than with the US Left. It’s the Latin Left which… Read more »
