One thing that Alex does not seem to understand about the “wrong side of history”, is that history will be written by the victors. Is he actually assuming that Russia will prevail out of this, and somehow the West will collapse?

Totally agree. You mention the major powers such as Russia, China, India and Iran, but that alliance will be much bigger than that. Add the Bri nations, many of which don’t represent major military powers, but are rich in needed resources perhaps more essential than guns. Just one example is that Venezuela is very rich in oil, while Bolivia is rich in Lithium, and so on. Most of Latin America has suffered enormously under the US dictatorship.
