Thank you, Alexander! Based on your previous reports concerning Zaluzhny versus Zelenskiy, my impression was always that General Zaluzhny had opposed Zelenskiy’s meatgrinder tactics, as micromanaged from Washington, but was frequently favouring tactical retreats and the redeploymwnt of troops in order to save lives, focus on defense and postpone any offensive until soldiers were properly trained and better prepared. I therefore presumed that Zaluzhny’s concern for lives is what made him such a popular figure within the army, and within the population, that evidently receives its news from its own relatives in the army and at the battle fronts.
