Leaving aside PPP, US and G7 GDP’s are grossly overstated through the use of creative accounting methods.
John Wlliam’s Shadowstats website provides a good indication of these distortions in the case of the US GDP numbers. The time series data is instructive.
The U.S. will not be able to recognize Russia’s legitimate security needs until it concedes its days as global hegemon are over. That can’t happen as long as it still fantasizes about conquering Russia. Neocons are incapable of acknowledging the reality of a multipolar world.
