I thought of King Canute about 10 seconds before you mentioned him, Alexander. His commanding the incoming tide to halt and not wet his feet and robes probably stood a better chance of succeeding than King Biden’s ordering inflation to be gone.
Perhaps there is a ‘new’ , non-polluting, sustainable technology which can produce all the energy we need, now and in the future. This technology is not being revealed so as not to cause the massive disruption of society that would be caused if it were announced abruptly.
