Alex, I beg you to stop referring to the neoliberal/neocon DNC and its party as “the progressive left.” It may have been that decades ago, but it has evolved into the exact opposite. “In the 21st century, a movement that identifies as progressive is “a social or political movement that aims to represent the interests of ordinary people through political change and the support of government actions” (Wikipedia). If she is appointed, that will be 7 Catholics and 2 Jewish…..so the SCOTUS is “PACKED” with Catholics…….no Protestants, atheists or any other religion.
Does that represent the diversity of the USA?…NO WAY. Given the problems in the Catholic Church, there is no reason to think Catholics deserve such over-representation and that NOT ONE PERSON ON THE SCOTUS has the religious upbringing of the majority of Americans. Diversity…NOT.
