Courts should only give advise in the matter of defense of rights, never ever to assist in prosecution of a defendant. If they do so, they are obviously biased and becoming part of the prosecution of the defendant.

US laws or “assurances” are irrelevant in this case. Julian Assange is a citizen of Australia and is only answerable to Australian law. Assange is not even answerable to the UK. Assange should be returned to Australia, because only Australia can prosecute him on the basis of its laws. And if he has not broken any of those laws, he must be released.
