Why not have an app that documents, and puts on record, that a man and women both agree to have sex, therefore removing any debate over whether sexual assault or rape occurred. Good2Go did just that.
The Good2Go app prompted those considering sex to go on record with both their willingness and their sobriety level. Maybe I am stupid and just not seeing it…but it makes perfect sense to me.
Apple apparently was not hot to the idea and swiftly removed the app from its app store.
The app was in response to a bill Governor Jerry Brown signed making California the first state to require “affirmative, conscious and voluntary agreement to engage in sexual activity” on college campuses and adopt requirements for colleges to follow when investigating sexual assault reports.
After Apple pulled the app from their online store, Good2Go creator Lee Ann Allman told Slate that they decided to remove the app from Google’s app store, and shut down its website entirely, http://good2goapp.com.
I guess lawmaker, lawyers and the feminist lobby hate the idea of placing an app in women’s hands that may divulge them of their power to play the sexual assault or rape card.
