Bear in mind, my point in this call was mainly on the irreducability of the Russian terms for resolving this conflict. To my shame, I did not remember to point out that the territories that joined Russia ARE Russian lands now, but I did lean on the observation that the US government seems to think that “all things are negotiable” and that President Putin can make concessions.
If there was an error committed by the foreign policy folks or the diplomatic folks in Russia, I think this might be it: Russia did not put in some terms that COULD be negotiated away to appear as a “concession” to the West; they simply stated what I called “zero point” terms, terms which are not up for negotiation.
It remains to be seen when or if the US, namely President Trump, will actually come to listen to this. It is not going to be easy, not with outlets like Fox News twisting every single narrative it can to hurt President Trump and to exacerbate the US’ role in this conflict.
The only thing I can say is that President Trump DOES listen to his supporters, so if people call the White House, if they unload on him in TruthSocial and other means, he will respond. We have seen this many times.
For those of us who want this conflict ended, it seems very evident that trusting to the “experts” in DC once again simply will not work; there are too many snakes involved in this issue because of sixty plus years of anti-Soviet and anti-Russian brainwashing.
We need to do another cleaning job. Let’s move.
