Amb. Chas Freeman: The sea change is coming and Israel knows it

Chas Freeman: the winner of the election in Israel is … genocide. That is no surprise. Zionism leads to nothing else.

Chas is not optimistic about what Trump will do after his election. He thinks Trump will be furious and looking for somebody or something to blame, and will likely carry out an attack on Iran in petulant fury. I hope he’s wrong, but if he’s right, we can call it “Little Operation Epstein Fury”, because no one can explain Trump’s behavior in any other way. Chas says Trump hates Netanyahu, which is not surprising if Bibi is blackmailing him with Epstein kompromat, but it is likely that he is too much of a coward to allow the truth about his past “youthful indiscretions” with pubescent and pre-pubescent girls to come out. If there is such a senseless attack, the Iranian response will be ferocious. It may not be against Gulf countries if they all swear to Iran they will not allow attacks from their countries. In that case Iran may target only US bases, ships and Israel. All the countries in the region, including the Gulf countries, as well as Russia and China are telling him not to do it. We can only pray that their views will prevail.

I don’t go along with those who diagnose Trump as clinically crazy or demented. He’s just being the despicable bully, liar and child abuser that he always has been. He could have lived happily ever after, but he made the mistake of running for president, and enough Americans voted for him, even me, because we were so sick of the Democrats. For me the lesson was: be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. The Democrats are now going to go for revenge against Trump, impeach him and throw him out of office if they can, and I hope they do. However, the Democrats are mostly if not entirely sold out to the Israel Lobby as well as the MIC, so they may get their revenge on Trump without changing US war policy in either West Asia or Europe. We can hope that Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy’s statement that the Trump war plan is insane is a harbinger of a real change in Democratic policy. War is so unpopular, and so is Israel and its Lobby, that this might be enough to overcome Democrat (and even Republican) subservience to their Zionist and Neocon donors.
