Zbigniew Brzezinski and the Grand Chessboard

The imperialist strategy for world hegemony was laid out by Zbigniew Brzezinski in the 1990’s in his famous book “The Grand Chessboard”. That strategy is still being followed to the letter. It is behind the expansion of NATO to the Russian border, and the 2014 coup in Ukraine. Brzezinski’s strategy for dominating the continent of Asia involved certain squares on the Grand Chessboard he called “pivot countries” of which the most important was Ukraine and the next most important was Iran. We (the imperialists) can’t take on Russia or China directly, but we can overthrow the regimes of their neighbors and cause endless trouble on their borders and choke them economically until they finally collapse. This all depends on maintaining a reputation as militarily unbeatable. The imperialist Michael Ledeen once said that “Every ten years or so, the United States needs to pick up some small crappy little country and throw it against the wall, just to show the world we mean business.” The problem is that this is no longer working. Iran has stood up to the “biggest bully” and his bullying career is over. But Trump and the imperialists still don’t know it. They also don’t understand that Russian and Chinese military technology is way ahead of the expensive junk produced by our MIC.

Sachs says Trump is no different from any of our presidents since the collapse of the Soviet Union during the presidency of George Herbert Walker Bush. I think most Americans don’t understand that Bush Sr. was a dangerous imperialist with a criminal career and deep state connections going back as far as the 1950’s. He was the son of Prescott Bush, who was one of the main American financiers of Hitler. Bush followed Brzezinski’s geopolitical strategy to the letter. He never had any intention of keeping his promise not to expand NATO to the east. Clinton just followed the same policy.

Sachs emphasizes that Israel is totally dependent on the United States for its continued existence. The American people have had nothing to say about all their imperialist wars since Vietnam. But Iran is by far the most unpopular war yet. There is no draft, and the imperialists know they can’t draft Americans into it. But if antiwar and anti-genocide sentiments are not enough to mobilize them against the imperialists, a crash and depression like the 1930’s should be enough to concentrate their minds. Now more than ever we need energetic younger leaders who understand what needs to be done.
