Whatever the NSDAP intentions were, they were not the intentions that the Lügenpresse have been inventing ever since. The Germans where fighting a war for their very existence, and yet Adolf Hitler refused to use his Sarin and Tabun nerve agents, although he had well over 10,000 tons of Sarin and 12,000 tons of Tabun, which was enough to kill tens of millions of people, and the allies Gas masks would have been ineffective against such nerve agents. The biggest disadvantage was that gas attacks were very dependent on weather. A huge disadvantage was wind direction. Sometimes the wind would blow the air in the opposite direction and the troops would end up gassing themselves. Another disadvantage was that rain and strong wind would put out the gas bombs. The Nazis’ decision to avoid the use of chemical weapons on the battlefield has been variously attributed to a lack of technical ability in the German chemical weapons program ( couldn’t keep the wind from killing their own troops) and fears that the Allies would retaliate with their own chemical weapons.
The Allies did not have deadly Nerve Agents in WW2, only the Germans did. The Allies Chemical Weapons would have been as ineffective as those used in WW1.
Adolf Hitler could have won the war, if he used his massive quantities of Sarin and Tabun against Soviet Cities and on their factories.
