Interesting comments on telegram….it seems it was a lot more than one mobile phone being used….more like a hundred. One commenter said that the Ukrainians had learned to always mix new troops with “battle seasoned” ones….whereas the Russians have units made up of only newbies. The takeaway was that had there been experienced troops with this unit of newbies that got whacked….that they would have put a stop to the phone use. Whereas it sounds more like a couple of hundred inexperienced troops who didn’t appreciate the danger. The mixing of old sods with newbies sounds wise.
A march into Western Ukraine would permit the West to waste their time congratulating themselves on a defeat at the hands of Russia. If Poland et al march into Western Ukraine it will make little difference so far as I can tell to the question of dangers of escalation. It will be just the same as if the border had shrunk inward. What is more, the Poles will have to administer that part of the Ukrainian population that contains most brainwashed and Banderites.
