The West IE; the US thought Russia was that dumbed down, that Russia couldn’t be a threat to their Hegemony. What a colossal mistake, hubris at it’s best. Russia wasn’t a threat to the west, indeed Putin did his best to try to integrate Russia with the west. The EU has now sunk all it’s economy, relying on the US, who will take them for a long ride to poverty.
Merkel kicked the 2008 can down the road. She did nothing during her chancellor tenure. She was a hopeless burocrat. Not any different like Ursula von der Leyen.
Yes, in fact the EU could not have gotten into this colossal mess, this total destruction of Europe, without the sneaky manuevers from the traitorous Angela Merkel. She is a big fat snake to whom the west owes much of its suffering.
