Alexander, If one wants a successful negotiation, one engages in good faith. This opening was ot good faith. It was cowardly and humiliating of the US, particularly from a President who loudly with great braggadocio proclaimed he would end it in a day and one who obviously knows there are no cards but to admit failure and try to commence establishment of long term relations. The entire affair was a monumental blunder and brst to begin by humiliating those responsible.
