In this case, Alexander, I would argue that it is the US that is insulting Ukraïne. It is just that President Zelenskiy’s outrage is misplaced. By that, I mean that he invokes the wrong reason and, in doing so, he demonstrates his contempt for his citizens and his soldiers. What Zelenskiy should be stating, is that Ukraïne is fighting a proxy war on behalf of the US and the EU. The agreement with his “sponsors”, as was reminded by the US Senator Lindsay Graham, is that Ukraïne sacrifices its own soldiers, so that the US doesn’t have to. In other… Read more »
Well Alex. The US resolution failed. Your thoughts turned out wrong. Even I was surprised. EU Ukraine crowing. Now US retaliation starts. Your update observations tomorrow will be interesting. EU loses big time shortly?
I really can’t stand to listen to anything that supports what the US is doing. No one should trust the US, least of all Russia. The US always betrays its friends, breaks promises, and backs out of international agreements. I say “friends”, but the US only has friends of convenience that it abandons as soon as they are no longer of any use to it. Nothing will stop the US from backing out of any negotiated deal with Russia. All it will require is a change of president in the Uni Party or some manufactured reason to cancel it. It… Read more »
Things are getting too spicy to remain in the UK/Greece. If you guys want to relocate that operation to the US, I have a house in the south you and family (and that noisy dog) are welcome to use as long as you like.
