The West may not have obtained more favourable terms since April 2022 – indeed, it’s unlikely that the Russians would accept any terms the West might now propose – but it has achieved steady progress toward one of its goals: destroying and depopulating Ukraine. Russia is obviously going to wind up controlling and running Ukraine, which means that it will have to pay to reconstruct it. From the point of view of Washington and London, every Ukrainian killed and all Ukrainian infrastructure destroyed are just as good as Russians killed and Russian infrastructure destroyed.

The West has been paying Ukraine many $billions to help it destroy Russia, which has been a failure. There is no evidence that Russia plans to control and run and reconstruct Ukraine. All Russia wants to do is to de-militarize and to de-nazify Ukraine, in order to be safe from it.

If the UK government is now saying that Ukraine should not expect any more weapons and equipment from Britain, why did Mr Starmer recently pledge that “we are with Ukraine all the way, for ever”?
If people held these so-called representatives to account, that would matter. We dont, we cant.. yet quite. The sheer puppet behaviour means, executive rule (no debate, no opposiiton, no representation).
