I wouldn’t be surprised if the Russians were willing to declare a truce, strictly for the duration of a legitimate presidential election in Ukraine.

If so, that couldn’t become an excuse for freezing the conflict. It could be for only a week or two; long enough for elections to be held, but not for lengthy campaigning.

Although, in fact, most of the remaining Ukrainian territory is somewhat removed from the firing line.

Kallas may be referring to the nations that attacked the USSR in 1941, and which were duly trampled by the Soviets on their way to Berlin. Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia (did she count Czechia and Slovakia separately? I wouldn’t put it past her), Hungary, Bulgaria, Rumania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland… Even that’s only 10! Maybe she counted East Germany and West Germany separately!!

Curse strikes Yermak. Dirty war, tankers attacked. Rumour US deal on Putin terms. Maduro Trump call
